Still, its worth explaining because i dont want others finding out, like i did, after you were almost done with your multiple million block build that the build is in fact not properly shaped. If you want a perfect hexagon, its sides need to have the pattern as shown in the pixel art generator in this post.This bloody sucks because its a lot more complex to build, especially if you wanna make the hexagon into a pyramid. That is because the distance between two points is not the same as the distance between two parallel opposing sides. This is nice and symmetrical and easy to build but its also wrong. I realised (too late) the obvious: a hexagon (a perfect one at least) is NOT a square with some corners cut off.Every single hexagon build ive seen in minecraft has the shape of the first picture. ![]() ![]() So, last post people were understandably confused about what i meant so here is a more clear explanation. ![]()
